Every time I buy a new shirt I think it’ll save me. I put it on in the store and I think yes. This is who I am. A man who would wear this kind of shirt. In a way, the shirt wears me.
I take it home and I wear it around the house. I wear it with every pair of pants I own. Thank god. Thank god (who is real) for this shirt.
There is a time before the shirt, a myriad of lost loves, disappointments, and traumas. But the shirt knows nothing of those. The shirt reeks of chastity. Of curiosity. The shirt is a flashlight, guiding the way through a dark path to a new life and the person that I will now be. Every shirt I have ever bought has made me completely new.
